Does someone you know struggle with Nightmares?
There are lots of reasons that nightmares can become an issue.
This can be from anything ranging from stress, anxiety, mental health issues, medications, growth periods or many other factors.
In a Kinesiology session we tap into the sub conscious to clear stress, which means that we can help clear out the negative energy that you may be holding, which is contributing to nightmares/poor sleep issues and give you some practical, specific ways to help.
One particular way that I have personally found works extremely well with my daughter is to ‘rewrite the nightmare’.
This involves discussing what happened and consciously changing the story.
For example my daughter had a bad nightmare last night about not being able to find me and then being chased and kidnapped by someone in black and put into a black car.
Once I’d given her hugs and some clearing spray she asked me if we could rewrite it so she can go back to sleep.
We both add bits as we go and the crazier the better, so our new story ended up like this;
‘The man chasing you was actually trying to tell you to stop running as it was a friend of hers wanting to take her somewhere.
She then used her Harry Potter wand to turn the black car into a duck.
Then they saddled up the giant duck and her friend rode the duck to a place where we were all hiding as we were throwing her a surprise party.’
She was laughing about riding a duck and said she’d go back to sleep thinking about who would have been at her surprise party.
I hope this one little trick that we use is helpful and if you or someone you love is struggling with nightmares, perhaps give this a try – and remember – the crazier story the better!
